Film 'Escape' Starring Lee Je-hoon, Koo Kyo-hwan Pre-sold in 163 Countries

SEOUL, May 28 (Yonhap) -- The highly anticipated film 'Escape,' starring Lee Je-hoon and Koo Kyo-hwan, has been pre-sold in 163 countries ahead of its domestic release, according to distributor Plus M Entertainment on the 28th. 

 

The film has secured distribution deals in countries including Taiwan, the Philippines, Australia, the United Kingdom, and France.

 

In North America, 'Escape' will hit theaters on July 5, shortly after its release in South Korea. North American distributors have described the film as "a gripping portrayal of the human pursuit of freedom and the power of hope."

 

Directed by Lee Jong-pil, 'Escape' tells the story of a North Korean soldier (played by Lee Je-hoon) who dreams of escaping to the South for a new life, and the high-stakes chase by a North Korean officer (played by Koo Kyo-hwan) tasked with stopping him. The film promises a thrilling narrative filled with tension and drama.
