SEOUL, April 22 (Yonhap) -- Thriller film 'The Plot,' starring Kang Dong-won, will be released on May 29th, its distributor NEW announced on the 22nd.
The movie depicts the story of Young-il (played by Kang Dong-won), the architect behind manipulating contract killings into perfect accidents, who gets entangled in unexpected events.
Im Mi-sook, Lee Hyun-wook, and Tang Jun-sang play members of Young-il's team, while Jung Eun-chae portrays the client who requests the incident. Lee Moo-saeng takes on the role of an insurance expert responsible for handling aftermaths, and Lee Dong-hwi plays a cyber tracker.
Based on the 2009 Hong Kong film 'Accident,' this adaptation was initially introduced under the same title during production but was renamed 'The Plot' before its release.
The film is directed by Lee Yo-sup, known for works like 'The Queen of Crime' (2016).
