SEOUL, Feb. 3(Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS’ Jimin, who was hospitalized and underwent surgery for acute appendicitis, reassured his fans, saying, "I think I will be able to leave the hospital soon.”

Jimin said through a fan community Weverse on Feb. 3, "I'm sorry for making you worry," adding, "I'm recovering well and making sure to eat all three meals.

He also mentioned, "Please just wait a little bit. I’ll recover quickly and come back.”

Jimin received a PCR test and medical examination in the emergency room of a nearby hospital after experiencing sore throat and abdominal pain. As a result, he tested positive for the coronavirus and was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and underwent surgery in the early morning of Jan. 31.
