SEOUL, Dec. 6 (Yonhap) -- Girl group Kep1er produced through Mnet audition program "Girl's Planet 999" has postponed their debut due to a staff's tested positive for COVID-19 infection.
A staff was tested for positive for the infection the day before, according to the group's management agency WakeOne Swing Entertainment on the 5th.
The band's members took the test for the infection as well as soon as the staff showed symptoms and were all tested negative. Also it has been reported that they still do not show any signs of infection.
Other staff received the test as well and there are no reports of additional infection. Those who haven't received the result have been isolated.
"All schedules are on brake considering the members and the staff’s health and safety. It is inevitable to push back all Kep1er’s schedules,” explained the agency.
“We are very sorry to the fans who have been waiting for the girls’ debut and to all the staff. We will inform you of resumption later,” added the agency.
The initial plan was for the band to debut on Dec. 14 to act as Kep1er for 2 years and 6 months.
