GYEONGSAN, South Korea, Aug. 25 (Yonhap) -- The body of a 25-year-old Chinese student was found in the southeastern city of Gyeongsan on Tuesday, police said, six days after she went missing.

A 30-something suspect was arrested and has been under investigation on charges of allegedly murdering the Chinese student.

The body was found at the suspect's home in Hayang County, Gyeongsan, some 290 kilometers south of Seoul.

After the Chinese student moved to the city of Daegu, near Gyeongsan, last Thursday night, her family lost contact with her.

The body is to undergo an autopsy, police said, adding they were looking into the possible motive of the suspect.
