Hong Sang-soo's latest work in competition at 2025 Berlin film festival

SEOUL, Jan. 21 (Yonhap) -- "What Does That Nature Say to You," the latest work by South Korean director Hong Sang-soo, has been chosen for competition at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival, which kicks off next month.

The Korean film is among the 19 feature films announced on the festival's official website Tuesday (German time) to compete in the 75th edition, scheduled to take place from Feb. 13-23.

The 33rd feature by Hong explores the events that unfold when a young woman brings her boyfriend to meet her family. The movie stars Ha Seong-guk, Kwon Hae-hyo, Cho Yun-hee, Kang So-yi and Park Mi-so.

Hong has won five awards at the Berlin festival, starting with "On the Beach at Night Alone" in 2017, which earned its lead actress, Kim Min-hee, the Silver Bear for Best Actress.

Last year, Hong received the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize for "A Traveler's Needs."
