S. Korea-made space payload shipped to U.S.
This photo, provided by the science and ICT ministry on Sept. 4, 2023, shows the lunar space environment monitor (LUSEM), developed by the state-run Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute. Work to ship LUSEM to the headquarters of Intuitive Machines Inc. in Houston, Texas, began earlier in the day, it will be loaded on the American end-to-end space exploration company's unmanned lunar lander, the Nova-C, in 2024 as part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services, to send small robotic landers and rovers with a few science payloads to the surface of the moon through commercial space transportation services to support NASA's Artemis project.
