Cylindrical lithium batteries' thermal runaway

A thermal runaway of cylindrical lithium batteries is demonstrated prior to the demonstration of an extinguisher designed exclusively for lithium battery fires at the factory of the extinguisher maker, Guard-K, in Daegu, 237 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on June 27, 2024. South Korea recently experienced a tragic fire at a lithium plant, resulting in the deaths of 23 workers. (Yonhap)
