A copper shark is stuck by a net installed on the waterway of the North Port Waterfront Park in the southeastern port city of Busan on Oct. 2, 2026, as members of the Coast Guard on a boat engage in an operation using the 50-meter-long, 6.8-meter-high net to guide the shark with a length of about 4 meters to the open sea. A first attempt to rescue the shark, whose nickname "Bukang-i" has been circulating online, failed on Sept. 28 after it was found in the waterway on Sept. 18. (Yonhap)
