SEOUL, June 30 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Byung-hun will be the presenter of the closing ceremony of the 74th Cannes International Film Festival.
Lee Byung-hun will attend the closing ceremony in Cannes, a southern resort in France, on July 17, however the category the actor will be presenting has yet to be decided, announced the actor's agency BH Entertainment.
Among the Korean figures in the film industry, director Park Chan-wook, who was a judge in 2017, was the presenter of the closing ceremony at the Cannes Film Festival, and Lee Byung-hun will be the first actor to present on stage.
Lee Byung-hun starred with Song Kang-ho, Jeon Do-yeon and Im Si-wan in the disaster film "Emergency Declaration,"which was directed by Han Jae-rim and part of the non-competitive section of this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Meanwhile, director Hong Sang-soo's "In Front of Your Face" became a nominee to the newly established Premier category within this year's Cannes International Film Festival, while Song Kang-ho has been named as a Cannes' jury.
