SEJONG -- The government will support the artificial intelligence (AI) transformation of major industrial complexes to foster the innovative growth of manufacturing industries, the industry ministry said Thursday.
The Manufacturing AI Transformation (M.AX) Alliance, a public-private cooperation working for the AI transformation of manufacturing industries, formed a division dedicated to helping industrial complexes actively adopt AI technologies for innovation, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources.

SEOUL -- The state-run Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) on Thursday reported its net income soared more than 141 percent from a year earlier to 8.73 trillion won (US$6.1 billion) in 2025, amid continued efforts to improve its financial stability.
Its annual revenue increased 4.3 percent on-year to 97.43 trillion won, and operating profit jumped 61.7 percent to a record high of 13.52 trillion won, the company said in a regulatory filing.

■ CJ Cheiljedang to cut flour prices by additional 5 pct; bakery chain to lower costs
SEOUL, Feb. 26 (Yonhap) -- CJ Cheiljedang Corp., a major South Korean food company, said Thursday it will lower prices of its flour products for both business-to-business (B2B) and retail consumers by an additional 5 percent on average.
The move follows earlier price cuts of 4 percent for B2B products and 5.5 percent for retail consumer products, bringing total price cuts since the beginning of the year to nearly 10 percent in some categories.
