Ruling party boycotts parliamentary committees' sessions

Seats for the members of the ruling People Power Party (PPP) are vacant during the inaugural session of the science and ICT committee at the National Assembly in Seoul on June 11, 2024, as they resigned as the members of the committee in protest against the majority-controlled main opposition Democratic Party's unilateral selection of the chairs of all 11 committees without the PPP presence in a vote the previous day.
