Eve of truckers' planned strike

Cargo trucks are busy carrying containers at the Inland Container Depot, a logistics hub, in Uiwang, 25 kilometers south of Seoul, on Nov. 23, 2022, one day ahead of a nationwide strike by unionized truckers belonging to the militant Korean Confederation of Trade Unions. They are demanding the government permanently scrap the phase-out of a temporary freight rate system guaranteeing a basic wage for truck drivers. (Yonhap)
