The Gangneung Ice Arena for the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangneung, 163 kilometers east of Seoul, is filled with spectators on Jan. 30, 2024, following Kim Hyun-gyeom of South Korea winning a gold medal at the men's single figure skating free skate event the day before, making him the first South Korean male figure skater to bring home a gold medal in an Olympic figure skating event.
