Truckers' strike

An apartment construction site in Gwangju, 330 kilometers south of Seoul, is idle on Nov. 30, 2022, as the construction work there came to a halt due to the suspension of the cement supply amid a nationwide strike by unionized truckers. Truck drivers went on strike nationwide on Nov. 24, demanding the government extend temporary rules guaranteeing minimum freight rates, citing high fuel prices. (Yonhap)
