GURYE, May 2 (Yonhap) — On the morning of May 2nd, snow fell at Jirisan Nogodan (1,507 meters above sea level) in Toji-myeon, Gurye County, Jeollanam-do.

 

White snow that fell overnight blanketed the azalea flowers and wildflowers, which were in full bloom for spring. 

 

The snow piled up in Nogodan on this day, following the 1st.

 

The morning temperature in Seongsamjae, Jirisan, fell by 0.6 degrees celsius and Gurye County recorded 9.6 degrees celsius. 

 

During the daytime, the temperature in Seongsamjae rose to 9.1 degrees celsius and 17.9 degrees celsius in Gurye County.

 

An official from the Gwangju Regional Office of Meteorology said, "Today we are expecting raindrops to fall sporadically in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and there will be snow in high mountainous areas such as Jirisan Mountain."
