S. Korea hit by powerful yellow dust storm

This photo, taken from Mount Namhan Fortress in Gwangju, south of Seoul, on April 12, 2023, shows the landscape of Seoul shrouded in haze, as the atmospheric levels of PM10, harmful particles that are smaller than 10 microns in diameter, soared to this year's highest level nationwide due to inflows of a strong yellow dust storm originating from the inland deserts in northern China.
