SEOUL, Aug. 24 (Yonhap) -- Government officials from South Korea and China met in Beijing on Monday to engage in policy exchanges and expand cooperation in the field of information communication technologies (ICT), Seoul's science ministry said.
The fifth strategic dialogue between South Korea's science ministry and China's ministry of industry and information technology follows a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on digital technology cooperation signed during the South Korea-China summit held in January, the science ministry said.
The last such dialogue was held eight years ago in Seoul on Dec. 10, 2018.
Along with policy exchanges, the two sides agreed to expand cooperation in the area of electromagnetic waves to respond to advancing communication technology, the science ministry added.
