Ahead of Gwangju Uprising anniversary

A ceremony honoring the victims of the 1980 Gwangju Uprising takes place at the May 18 National Cemetery in Gwangju, 267 kilometers south of Seoul, on May 17, 2024, one day prior to the 44th anniversary of the pro-democracy movement.
