Ahead of anniv. of 1960 pro-democracy revolution

Students of Korea University exit the school's gate in Seoul on April 18, 2025, as they take part in an 8-kilometer march to remember the late democratic fighters buried at the April 19th National Cemetery in the South Korean capital, one day before the 65th anniversary of the April 19, 1960, pro-democracy revolution. The day commemorates the students' movement against the autocratic rule of then President Rhee Syng-man after the discovery of massive election rigging in the presidential election. The uprising forced Rhee to eventually resign. (Yonhap)
