Foreign Korean War vets in Busan

A foreign Korean War veteran, invited by the South Korean government, sheds tears after offering flowers in front of the graves of his fallen fellow soldiers at the U.N. Memorial Park in Busan, 320 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on July 27, 2023, the 70th anniversary of the Korean War armistice agreement. The memorial park is for soldiers from the United States and 15 other nations who were killed in action while fighting for South Korea against invading North Korea under the U.N. flag during the 1950-53 conflict.
