SEOUL, Sept. 17 (Yonhap) -- Gen. Son Sug-rag, chief of staff of the South Korean Air Force, is leading a South Korean delegation to the largest security show in Europe to be held in the Czech Republic, the armed force said Thursday.

The two-day NATO Days event, which kicks off Saturday, will be held in Ostrava, bringing together member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and partner nations while showcasing a wide spectrum of security capabilities.

During his visit, scheduled from Thursday through Monday, Son will meet with Czech Defense Minister Jaromir Zuna and other key Czech officials, according to the Air Force.

He is also expected to seek ways to expand defense exchanges and cooperation with participating countries at the event.

Meanwhile, the Black Eagles aerobatic team initially planned to participate in the event but later withdrew its participation at the request of the organizer, given the ongoing war in the Middle East, according to officials.
