Hana Financial Group Q4 net income up 10.8 pct to 577.6 bln won

SEOUL, Jan. 30 (Yonhap) -- Hana Financial Group on Friday reported its fourth-quarter net profit of 577.6 billion won (US$401.9 million), up 10.8 percent from a year earlier.

The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the October-December period rose 48 percent on-year to 890.4 billion won. Sales decreased 39.8 percent to 17.14 trillion won.

The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 552.7 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
