SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) -- Hybe on Tuesday reported its second-quarter net profit of 109.8 billion won (US$75.1 million), up 613 percent from a year earlier.

South Korea's largest entertainment agency said in a regulatory filing that it posted 170.9 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 65.9 billion won a year ago. Revenue also shot up 105.5 percent to 1.45 trillion won.

The earnings failed to meet market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 121.4 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
