Gaya Tumuli's UNESCO World Heritage certificate

Choi Eung-Chon (L), head of the Cultural Heritage Administration, poses for a photo after conveying a UNESCO World Heritage Convention certificate to the head of a local government at a hotel in Seoul on Nov. 27, 2023. The certificate, signed by the UNESCO director-general, confirms the inscription of the tumuli of the Gaya Kingdom (57 B.C.-668 A.D.), a confederacy of seven tribal states, in Korea's south-central region on the World Heritage List.
