Heavy rain hits cultural assets

This photo shows the state-designated scenic site Hoeryongpo Village, inundated by heavy rain on July 17, 2023. Hoeryongpo is a meandering stream surrounding the village in Yecheon, 165 kilometers southeast of Seoul. According to the Cultural Heritage Administration, 39 state-designated cultural assets have been damaged by days of torrential rains. (Yonhap)
