SEOUL, May 25 (Yonhap) -- Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on Tuesday that the new Mercedes-AMG GLA 454MATIC+, a high-performance sports utility vehicle (SUV) will be officially released.
Around 2,400 units of this high-performance model of the new Mercedes-Benz GLA, has been sold since its official launch last September up to April 2021.
It is equipped with a manually assembled 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-scroll turbocharger engine with a maximum power of 387 horsepower and a maximum torque of 48.9 kg.m, reaching 100 km/h from rest in 4.4 seconds.
AMG Speedshift DCT 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission contributes to the dynamics and agility of the drive, explained Mercedes-Benz Korea.
It is equipped with AMG Ride Control's adaptive damping system and AMG Dynamic Select, which can individually set engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering to suit the drivers' tastes, allowing them to experience various driving modes.
Compared to the previous model, the wheelbase (distance between the front and back wheels) is 30mm longer, and the front height (height) is 110mm higher, creating a higher seat position, relaxed headroom, and ample interior space, and the panoramic sunroof is applied as a standard to provide a sense of openness.
It is equipped with a driving assistant package that includes active distance assist Distronic function that maintains a gap between the car in front of it and supports automatic speed control, braking, and departure.
The price of the vehicle is valued at $7621 million including VAT.
