Court reviews arrest warrant for opposition leader's aide
Jeong Jin-sang (C), a vice chief of staff to Lee Jae-myung, leader of the main opposition Democratic Party, arrives at the Seoul Central District Court on Nov. 18, 2022, to attend a hearing to review whether a warrant will be granted for his arrest in connection with his corruption allegations. Jeong is accused of having received nearly 140 million won (US$106,100) from real estate developers at the center of a high-profile property development corruption scandal in the Daejang-dong district of Seongnam, just south of Seoul, between 2013 and 2020 in return for business favors.
