Whale carcass washes ashore in eastern S. Korea

This photo taken June 9, 2026, shows a 5.6-meter-long whale carcass on a beach in Sokcho, Gangwon Province, northeastern South Korea. The species of whale is yet to be determined as its head and tail are severely rotten. (Yonhap)
