Tourists catch marsh snails, known as "daseulgi" in Korean, during a festival on the small freshwater horn-shell snail, on a stream in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, near the central section of the inter-Korean border, on July 30, 2026. Daseulgi, which has a pleasantly bitter flavor and liver-protective health benefits, are used in many Korean dishes, including soybean paste soup. (Yonhap)
