Preparing for holiday
Shoppers visit the stalls of Moran Market, with each tent and umbrella being an individual merchant stand, in the city of Seongnam, south of Seoul, on Jan. 24, 2025, to buy food and offerings for traditional Korean rituals ahead of the Lunar New Year, known as Seol, which is one of the two major Korean traditional holidays and falls on Jan. 29 this year, forming part of a six-day break. Moran Market is the largest traditional five-day market in South Korea. (Yonhap)
