Site of random stabbing attack in S. Korea

A yellow ribbon with a message, "We Are Sorry for Having Failed to Protect You," is hung at an altar in the southwestern city of Gwangju on May 7, 2026, following a random stabbing incident near the site on May 5. The 24-year-old attacker, only identified his family name Jang, was taken into custody after stabbing a high school female student to death and leaving a high school male student seriously injured.
