(LEAD) 2 in cardiac arrest after military helicopter crash in Gapyeong County

GAPYEONG, South Korea, Feb. 9 (Yonhap) -- Two people were rushed to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest Monday after a military helicopter crashed in the northern county of Gapyeong, officials said.

The helicopter crashed at about 11 a.m. in the county, about 55 kilometers northeast of Seoul, leaving the two people on board in serious condition.

Authorities said the incident did not involve any fires or explosions.

The crash reportedly involved the Army's AH-1S helicopter.
