Prosecution raids Gyeonggi provincial gov't

Prosecution investigators enter the headquarters of the Gyeonggi provincial government in Suwon, 36 kilometers south of Seoul, on Feb. 22, 2023, as part of an investigation into its former Vice Governor Lee Hwa-young over a South Korean business group's alleged illegal transfer of US$8 million to North Korea on behalf of the province in 2019. Rep. Lee Jae-myung, head of the main opposition Democratic Party, was its governor at that time. (Yonhap)
