Ruling party leader pays tribute to late democratic fighters

Han Dong-hoon, head of the ruling People Power Party's emergency leadership committee, visits the temporary tomb of Kim Ju-yeol, a late democratic fighter, at the March 15 National Cemetery in the southeastern coastal city of Changwon on Jan. 10, 2024, to pay tribute to democratic fighters killed in a 1960 pro-democracy demonstration in the city that added fuel to mounting public protests against the dictatorial regime of then President Rhee Syng-man.
