SEOUL, June 14 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group
EXO's new album "Don't Fight the Feeling," which surpassed 1 million
album sales in its first week after debuting, earned its million-seller status,
the band's agency said Monday.
Released on June 7th, EXO's special album "Don't Fight the Feeling"
has sold 1,089,681 copies until the previous day, making it EXO's sixth album
to become a million-seller.
Starting with EXO's first studio album "XOXO (Kiss & Hug)" in 2013
to its 5th repackaged album "Love Shot" released in 2018, the group
has steadily succeeded in earning the million-seller status.
"Don't Fight the Feeling" is a
new EP released by EXO members and predicted to be a hit as it has already
recorded 1.22 million pre-orders. Members Chen and Suho did not participate in
this album as they are currently completing their military service.
The band's seventh EP also topped the weekly charts of music sites such as Hanteo
Chart and Synnara Record on Monday.
The mini-album also stood out in foreign music charts by topping the iTunes Top
Albums Charts in 85 regions around the world and China's QQ Music, Kugou Music,
and KuWo Music's digital album sales charts.
