SEOUL, June 7 (Yonhap) -- The six-member boy group 2PM will return with an album in which all members participated in about five years after completing a hiatus due to members' military service.
The K-pop act's agency, JYP Entertainment announced on its official SNS channel that 2PM will release its new album "MUST" on the 28th.
In the album trailer video "The Hottest Origin," released on Monday, all six members, including Nichkhun, Junho, Junkei, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, and Chansung, showed 2PM's unique and powerful charm in their own ways.
It is the first time in about five years that 2PM has released a new album involving all the members since its sixth full-length album "GENTLEMEN'S GAME" released in September 2016.
After debuting in 2008, 2PM gained popularity with songs such as "Heartbeat", "10 points out of 10", "Again & Again" and "I Hate You". Recently, the stage video of the title song "My House," released in 2015, was re-illuminated and became a hot topic online.
When Junho was last discharged from the military in March this year, all members completed their military service and prepared for their comeback.
JYP Entertainment said, "We are determined to provide the best quality content with the passion from the members and music in order to not disappoint 'Hottest'."
In addition to 2PM, second-generation boy groups such as SHINee and Highlight recently returned from military service and successfully made their comebacks.
