Opposition's reaction to Yoon's veto of 2 special probe bills

Members of the main opposition Democratic Party and three other opposition parties stage a rally in front of the National Assembly in Seoul on Jan. 5, 2024, to denounce President Yoon Suk Yeol for vetoing two opposition-led bills to launch special counsel probes into alleged stock manipulation by his wife, Kim Keon Hee, and allegations that six prominent people of the so-called 5 billion club were promised 5 billion won (US$3.8 million) each from an asset management firm involved in a corruption-ridden development project in the Daejang-dong district in Seongnam, south of Seoul.
