4.8 magnitude quake hits southwestern county of Buan
This photo, provided by the North Jeolla Provincial Fire Service, shows a storage wall cracked by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the country's southwestern county of Buan on June 12, 2024. The quake, the strongest on the Korean Peninsula so far this year, hit the county, 204 kilometers south of Seoul, at 8:26 a.m. at a latitude of 35.7 degrees north and a longitude of 126.71 degrees east, according to the weather agency.
