SEOUL, May 17 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group NCT Dream recorded its first million seller after surpassing 1 million copies of its first full-length album "Hot Sauce."
SM Entertainment stated that NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce," which was released on May 10th, became a million seller with over 1 million copies sold within a week of the album's release, according to the Hanteo Chart count. This marks the highest sales volume for NCT in the first week of the album's release this year.
It is the first time for NCT Dream to record a million seller since its debut in 2016.
Among SM Entertainment's boy band brand NCT, NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce" is the third million seller following NCT 127's second full-length album "Neo Zone" and NCT's second full-length album "Resonance," in which all the NCT members participated in.
The album topped iTunes Top Albums Chart in 37 regions around the world, as well as China's QQ Music, KuGou Music, and on Line Music's Album Top 100 Chart.
NCT Dream started as a subunit of SM Entertainment's largest multi-member boy band.
