Train makes emergency stop in Paju after issue on tracks

PAJU, South Korea, April 11 (Yonhap) -- A train on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line made an emergency stop in Paju, just north of Seoul, on Friday after authorities discovered an issue on the tracks.

The train was headed to Seoul from Munsan when it was brought to a sudden halt at 3:30 p.m., according to an official at state railway operator KORAIL.

No casualties have been reported.

The train was earlier reported to have derailed.
