SEOUL, Aug. 31 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Exchange (KRX) said Monday it will hold an investor road show in New York later this week.

During the event set for Thursday (New York time), the KRX plans to explain South Korea's efforts to improve access to foreign investors for the nation's capital markets and other ongoing regulatory reforms, the bourse operator said in a statement.

Also, the KRX plans to sign a memorandum of understanding with the New York Stock Exchange to bolster cooperation in the fields of market operations and infrastructure, according to the statement.

In the statement, KRX Chairman Jeong Eun-bo said the bourse operator will continue to make efforts to improve rules for foreign investment so they can better take part in the nation's capital markets.
