SEOUL, Aug. 31 (Yonhap) -- T'way Air said Monday it will begin operating under its new name, Trinity Airways, on Sept. 10, completing its rebranding following its acquisition by leisure conglomerate Sono Trinity Group.
The name change will be the South Korean budget airline's first in 16 years and comes after Sono Trinity Group, formerly known as Daemyung Sono Group, took control of the carrier last year.
The airline's flight codes and schedules, as well as existing reservations and terms of use, will remain unchanged after the name change.
Sono Trinity Group acquired a 46 percent stake in T'way Air for 250 billion won (US$176.4 million) in February 2025. The airline completed regulatory procedures in May to change its operating license to the new name.
