Ruling party honors victims of Jeju massacre

Jung Chung-rae, leader of the main opposition Democratic Party, burns incense at the Peace Park in the city of Jeju on South Korea's largest island of the same name on Sept. 17, 2025, to pay tribute to victims of a 1948-1954 massacre caused by an ideological rift between residents of Jeju Island and the mainland government.
