Choi Ji-man, satisfied with a grounder to first base in the top of the third inning, retired with a fly ball to center field in the top of the fifth inning.

In the top of the eighth inning, he was grounded out to second base against the Nationals’ third pitcher, Ryne Harper.

The Rays, the ranked at No. 2 in the American League East, lost to the Nationals 6-15, extending its defeats to a three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Nationals’ infielder Trea Turner led his team to victory by achieving his third cycling hit of his entire career.
