SEOUL, Aug. 14 (Yonhap) -- President Lee Jae Myung was set to hold a meeting with experts Friday and discuss possible policy measures to support the youth, the presidential office said.

The meeting, to be held later Friday at Cheong Wa Dae, will bring together 11 youth policy experts and presidential officials, including presidential chief of staff Kang Hoon-sik and policy chief Kim Yong-beom.

"The event has been organized to enhance policy effectiveness by diagnosing problems with youth policy and discuss ways to reorganize state administration in favor of young people," the presidential office said.

The meeting comes as Lee has seen his approval ratings decline in recent weeks, partly due to growing complaints among young voters over prohibitively high housing prices and other issues.
