SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- World-renowned rock band Coldplay has released a new music video collaborating with the Korean modern dance troupe, Ambiguous Dance Company, for its latest single "Higher Power."
Director Dave Meyers, who has previously
won Grammy Awards for Best Music video directed the music video, which looked
like a short science fiction movie with various graphic effects.
Members of the Ambiguous Dance Company dressed up as aliens appear as holograms
and perform while surrounding the lead singer of Coldplay Chris Martin, who also
dances with the team as well.
Coldplay announced the collaboration with Ambiguous Dance Company earlier by
releasing a performance video. Since then, Ambiguous Dance Company members have
joined Coldplay's opening stage at the 2021 Brit Awards as holograms format.
Ambiguous Dance Company was founded in 2011 by artistic director Kim Bo-ram,
and has drawn much attention in both Korea and overseas for its unusual and
experimental choreography and for their recent performance in collaboration
with the Korean tourism board and rock band Leenalchi.
