SEOUL, May 7 (Yonhap) -- Actress Han Hyo-joo, actor Park Hyung-sik, and Cho Woo-jin have announced to be starring in the drama "Happiness," according to a PR agency, PRJ.

 

"Happiness" is a thriller drama that depicts the survival of those isolated in apartments that also symbolize a smaller scale of a hierarchical society. As one high-rise apartment in the city is blocked due to an emerging infectious disease, the drama will carefully depict the fierce fighting between people for survival and acts of psychological warfare.

 

Actress Han Hyo-joo plays Yoon Sae-bom, a bold police agent while actor Park Hyung-sik plays a character who has returned to society after being discharged from the military, and actor Jo Woo-jin plays Han Tae-seok, a lieutenant colonel of the medical command who also holds the "key" to the infectious disease situation.

 

Producer Ahn Gil-ho, who shoed detailed production power regardless of the genres in dramas such as "Record of Youth," "Watcher," "Memories of the Alhambra," "Stranger," will direct "Happiness" while the screenplay is written by Han Sang-woon, who also wrote the dramas, "Watcher," and "The Good Wife." The production company for the upcoming drama will be Studio Dragon.

 

The production team of "Happiness" said, "In times like this where we feel the importance of everyday life, our drama will provide a different kind of fun by bringing the most realistic and present-day horror to the audience."

 

Filming will begin this month and the release date and channel of the program have not yet been determined.
