SEOUL, June 4 (Yonhap) -- Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War," a program on performance battles between six K-pop boy groups, came to a close with K-pop act Stray Kids taking the win.

According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research company, the finale episode of "Kingdom: Legendary War," which aired at 7:50 p.m. the previous day, recorded 0.5% in ratings.

At the final competition, boy group ATEEZ performed "The Real," Stray Kids "Wolfgang," The Boyz "Kingdom Come," BTOB "Finale (Show and Prove)," iKON "At Ease," and SF9 with "Believer."

For their final performance, Stray Kids had transformed into werewolves and showed powerful choreography, ultimately winning the championship.

The eight-piece-act said, "We were aiming for first place so we put in a lot of effort in our performances to achieve our goals. There were many difficult and fun moments, but thanks to our fans who supported us, we were able to cheer up and perform well on stage."

The runner-up for the competition were boy group The Boyz while ATEEZ ranked third, BTOB claimed fourth, iKON as fifth, and SF9 in sixth place.

TVXQ's Changmin, better known for his stage name Max Changmin, who was the emcee of the program, said, "I felt a strong longing and nostalgia for performing on stage while watching the six teams' dance passionately on stage, and I also hoped that I can perform for my fans as soon as possible."

While the viewership for "Kingdom: Legendary War" was low, the online buzz on the program continued as fandoms--mainly consisting of teenagers--gathered altogether to cheer on the boy groups.
