SEOUL, June 23 (Yonhap) -- Jeon So-yeon, the leader of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, will release her first solo mini-album "Windy" on July 5, according to her agency Cube Entertainment.
According to the track list released on Wednesday, Jeon So-yeon participated in
writing and composing all five songs of her solo EP, including the title track
"BEAM BEAM".
The fifth track, "Is this bad b**** number?" features
singer-songwriter BIBI and rapper Lee Young-ji.
Some of the other tracks included in the mini-album are "Weather,"
"Quit," and "Psycho."
Jeon So-yeon made her name known by appearing on Mnet's girl group survival
program "Produce 101" and hip hop competition program "Unpretty
Rapstar 3" in 2016, while also releasing her solo song "Jelly"
the following year.
In 2018, Jeon debuted as the leader and main rapper of (G)I-DLE and proved her
solid production skills by writing and composing most of the group's songs such
as, "DUMDi DUMDi", "LATATA", "HWAA" and
"Lion".
